Do I Go with the B.S. or the M.B.S?

I've been giving my college education career choices a good looking over these past few days. I'm leaning in one direction but I am still fairly uncertain at this point.

I've been looking over my transcript and it looks as if I am going to end up with nearly 160 credits with just one degree. I could stay, top that up to 200 credits and get two degrees: A B.S. in Air Traffic Control and a B.B.S. in Airport Management.

Or

I could get my B.S. in Air Traffic Control and stay the same amount of time and get a M.B.S. in Airport Management. I am thinking this option is the best one. However the costs are quite a bit higher. I don't need a Masters for my career at this point in time but I am still uncertain what I want to do right now.

Do I want to direct planes for the rest of my life, which wouldn't be bad at all, or would I like to be management or even run some airport somewhere. Would I like to work for the airlines; that wouldn't be bad either. I have lots to think about.

I read somewhere that 60 percent of the workforce with a college degree or additional training are not working in their area of training. So I have lots to think about. But if I want to do the Master's Program here at UND, I will have to decide by March or earlier so I can apply for the program starting in Fall of 2007.

Yikes!

It Round House Kicks Ass!

What will happen when you consume a Crown and Pepsi times 2, a schooner of a fantastically mixed Long Island Iced Tea, two Chuck Norris drinks, and several cups of crappy beer?

Two things will happen:
1. You will bump, grind, and dance your ass off in front of complete strangers and friends. Your ass will become red from the multiple occassions that it was grabbed and slapped.

&

2. You get felt up in the back of a friend's SUV on your way home at 2.30am because one of your friends likes to be touchy feely when he is drunk.

Had a fun weekend! And the fun will not stop. Friday I'm on my way to Los Angles to hang with the brother and Mikey is coming along too. I just have to get through these four days of class, the three days of work, all while trying to convince Mikey that our plane will not go down.

Pass the Bottle

I had this big long entry written out and actually had it posted for a few hours earlier today. If you had the unlucky chance of reading it, I pitty you. I thought Kash had made a move on me last night, it was one of those leaning in things. Though I could be completely off base and he just needed someone to lean on instead, you know the whole being drunk thing.

Today Kelli heard from Kash that he wasnt trying to kiss me and wouldn't do anything to me that he wouldn't do to anyone else. Though he was trying to make out with Leela the ENTIRE night. You know those gays that just want to make out with the straight girls when they are drunk.

Some tend to think that it was sort of a defensive mechanism because I told him no. I kind of think it was a convience thing yet again. The thing is, I could totally see myself making out with him, "relieving" some stress with him, but not really getting too attached. But then again, I tend to have this problem of getting attached to something I really can't have.

Excellent examples include: Mike and Ryan.

However getting attached to them could be less of an issue because I know that I can't have them but getting attached to a gay guy that I can have but really can't have could be even harder to overcome. Whatever it is, I need to stop over analyzing the situation and just go with the flow.

Screw this soberity kick. Bring on the alcohol this upcoming weekend. I need to F-ing get wasted and blow off some steam! And when I say steam I mean get laid.

**Warning** SFND Whining

I am having serious thoughts. I thought I could handle the whole living with MIke and Ryan but they are driving me up a wall. I think more of it has to do with the fact that I have started back to the shitty job with shitty hours, with shitty pay.

I'm sitting here at the mailroom desk. I was over at the front desk earlier. I had to endure the onslaught of questions and not from students but from helicopter parents who hover and hover.

"Will my baby be okay?" "How do I fund their entire education?" "Has their package with their new iBook and 42"inch plasma tv arrived yet?"

F-ing piss off. They will be fine. In fact they will be better than fine. They are going to find friends, go to frats, and get wasted this weekend as soon as you get out of town. So go home and fund their education entirely. There really is no need to make them work when they have you around. My parents have never paid for any thing of mine. I pay for my education, I pay for the new computer, I pay for my meal plan, I pay for my food, I pay for my shoes, I pay for my going out money. I pay for everything. God I am bitter.

So yeah I've been working today since 11am. I haven't eatten yet at all, besides the stale popcorn they made this morning at 8am. Oh and when I called Mike and told him there was free food at the main dining hall, he comes with Ryan and eats my stale popcorn. I ask him to run upstairs to grab me some FREE food and he was like, you can't put up a sign and just walk away for 15 mins?

NO, it's called a job and they pay me to sit here and give out mail, not wander around campus for 15 mins looking for food. And this morning the kitchen was a mess after their drinking party, the fucking "DOG" found his way back to the couch, and they woke me up not once but twice last night at 4am because they thought it was a good idea to invite the entire apartment complex to our apartment.

Shit.

On the other hand, I did get to hand with Kelli, Sarah and Kash last night. It was a good time for doing absolutely nothing. We downloaded new ringtones to my mobile. Kelli's new song is Chamillionaire's Ridin' Song. So doesn't fit the image you get when you first see Kelli. This girl from very rural Montana that works in Social work at a hospital that loves Chamillionaire.

Kash's Song is Movies from Alien Ant Farm. Personally one of my favorites. Everyone's new ringtone definitely fits their personality more than their outward apperance.

So Kash and I are starting to become really good friends. That's the way I make my move, I end up being the really good friend and well the saying nice guys always finish last, it is so true. But I did get some hair playing time in, gave out a nice hour long back rub and some definite flirty behaviour was had last night.

When I was leaving I was giving Sarah and Kelli a hug and Kash goes, where's my hug. So I gave him one and it wasn't one of those two pat on the back's manly hug, it was one of those, please dont leave just yet hugs. Either way, friends with him is better than nothing.

I really dont want to go to this party tonight but he will be there and I really want to hang out with him. Blah Blah Blah, I'm not so good at this whole making moves thing.

3..2..1... Whore It Out

So I returned to the lovely service center on campus today. Basically it means I will be working the front desk and the mail room. JOY! I really don't want to go back there but it is a simple job, I will get the chance to study a lot, and the schedule will be very flexible because I am really high in seniority now. I think number 2 or 3 in line. So that is good. The pay is crap. Barely above minimum wage.

I'm so ready to begin my man whore days. I think everyone goes through that stage and I haven't had mine yet and I am ready to get out there and just do everything that walks. Seeing how my choices are limited here in the good old North Plains area, I might have to push the man whore years back though. I guess it started because when people get drunk, they are really frisky, flirty, etc. Well I feed off that too much. I take it as them being interested instead of them just being drunk. Kash doesn't like me, at least not in that way. I shouldn't read too much into it. I'll just be the nice guy friend who is always there, never expecting anything in return. But secertly wanting so much in return. It is seriously bad enough that I am hanging Men's Health workout posters in my room because I thought the pictures were hot. Hell I wished I had only 3 of his 6 pack.

I'm not even looking forward to the Pirate Party on Saturday. I just want to get school started so I can get back to glazing at the jocky aviation people.

Weekend Wrap Up

My straight boyfriend is HOME! Mikey has returned. I am so excited. Now the real fun begins. Hottie straight boy Mikey to flirt with and then Kash the hottie gay boy to flirt with. Who puts out first will be interesting to see. Anyone want to take bets.

I have my money on Kash.

Lots of social interaction lately. And that is a good thing. Social interaction is the key to living in North Dakota. It makes life bearable.

Upcoming Events to look forward to:

Pirates Party on Saturday Nite 8/19
School Starts back: Tuesday 8/22
Los Angles with Mikey: 9/1-9/4

Just Walk Away SFND, Just Walk Away

I seriously must be messed up in the head. But let me start from the beginning.

It was Downtown BAR night for a group of my close friends and myself. I am currently on this I am not drinking kick, so I volunteered to be the DD. You know , you dont have to drink to have fun. Actually being sober can be better. The laughing and making fun of others all of their stupid little moves and miss moves. So we did some bar hoping. Kelli, Sarah, Kash and myself were all having a great time. Four Bars in just five hours.

At the last bar I put my feet up on the bench across from me. Next thing I know I am getting a leg massage. Oh this feels nice. Been ages since I was shown any sort of physical attention. It definitely wasn't coming from Kelli, since she was sitting next to me. And Sarah was busy with her texting of the boyfriend, and by putting the clues together, I narrowed it down to the bartender who was standing a good 10 feet away and Kash.

Hands were held in the car, none of which was started by me. I talked to Kelli earlier that night and told her nothing is going to happen between us because that would put her in a weird situation if something went wrong.

I dropped everyone off at the apartment. Went inside for a bit to relax and he started to make more moves, so when he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth, I said my goodbyes to Kelli and jetted out the door.

He was drunk, he was touchy feely, he has a long distance boyfriend, I have a long distance boyfriend, convenience is just always there. And then there is Kelli great friends to both of us in the middle. By walking away I did the right thing, but hell did I want to stay!

Five mins out the door, I get a call from Kelli's Mobile. Well it isn't Kelli, but Kash. Disappointment was in his voice, but once he sobers up, I am certain he will know I did the right thing.

God I hope I did. Damn You Better Judgement

Let's Go Shopping!

One day down, just a few more to go. The parents helped me move my stuff in. I finally get to sleep in MY bed tonight! It's going to be orgasmic.

We had a VERY good day today though. My parents are both chipper and glad to have made the trip. I showed them around town, took them to the local breakfast place. Took them to a local place to have dinner. It was a nice day.

Mum and dad also bought me an ass load of stuff too! New bedding, food, kitchen supplies, gas grill.

So we will see how the rest of the weekend goes.

I'm starting to get over my straight boy fix, K flirted all night with me. Nothing sexier than a buzzed guy flirting with you.

The parents are here.

TV is draining; I need a Nap

What a busy day at work. I really earned my money today.

Watching CNN, MSNBC, BBC, CBC, SkyTV, CBS, NBC and ABC all day is tiresome. I need a nap.

Well fuck that, if it's my time to go, I don't care, I'm still flying all the time. I'm going to fly just to spite them.

Just 20 days until I am in the sky and on my way to Los Angles.

So instead of driving to your holiday destination, fly. It's by far safer anyways, even if you can't wet your eyes after 13 hours, or take your 5 dollar Starbuck coffee on board.

Campus Pictures

This is the only time of the year that campus is empty enough to take pictures. Some of them are blurry, my hand was kind of shaky tonight, so I'll retake some of them this week.

I just love all the color that we have on our campus. It's so nice, too that they kept the orginial style of the buildings even when they build new ones. The top picture is the Chester Fritz Library on campus, and the second one is in the courtyard in the middle of campus.

Just One Day Closer

Well I got off my lazy ass and finally went down to the IT department and got the new laptops that the university gives out to all the aviation students. And when I say gives out, I mean makes me pay $400 a semester towards a "computer" fee. It's a nice computer. They stuck with Dell. I guess it would make sense after they signed that multi-million dollar contract with them.

We got a Dell Latitude D820. The lady at the IT department was very forcefull in her speech to me. I am sure she has already given it so many times it has become annoying to not only her but everyone else that works in the department. And school hasn't even started yet. Only 5,000 more speeches to recite.

"The university paid a lot of money for these machines. If you were to buy it on Dell's website with all the software and hardware upgrades we have done, you would pay $2,100. So don't break it. And don't copy software, if you need a CD, come by. And if anything is wrong, and I mean anything is wrong, the fan is noisy, the keypad is loud, bring it back, we need to get good use out of the warrenties."

I wouldn't pay $2,100 for a computer much less a laptop! All I am going to be using the laptop for is taking notes in class, typing up papers on campus, remote printing, and a bit of music for those times in between class. I bought the desktop for the pictures, music, games, etc.

But now I can be uber cool and snotty like all the other aviation students on campus carrying around their laptop bags, sipping their iced lattes, and talking in aviation coded lingo.

I can not wait for classes to begin again!

Why Can't I Sleep?

The last few days I have gotten the best sleep in ages. I attribute it to the fact that I was sleeping in Mike's or Ryan's beds but science will probably chalk it up to the fact that I have been pretty tired of late, thus leading to my much needed rest.

Tonight, however, is a different story. I have done everything in my power to fall asleep but here I am at 5am typing up an entry and watching "Cable in the Classroom" on the Animal Planet. I would have to say the reason is that the smell has left the beds and science could back me up, but I doubt their most pressing issue is to figure out why I sleep better when the smell is just right.

I've been hanging out with Kash and Kelli a lot lately. Kelli tells me it's because the boys are out of town, I say it's because I think Kash is cute. It's probably a combination of the two. But come to find out, Mr. Kash has a current relationship. I feel foolish. I put myself out there, flirt, show interest, and well, bam...

A stellar 0 for 2.

Thursday I am having a dinner party sort of thing. I'm doing a mid-summer's pinic theme but indoors so we can just chill out, watch a few movies and just relax. I'm doing this finger food kind of theme. So you can watch the movie and still eat.

Mini Rachael's:
16 slices mini rye bread
1/2 cup sweet red pepper relish
1 pound smoked turkey, thinly sliced
1 pound sauerkraut rinsed and drained
1/3 pound sliced sharp cheddar

&

Mini Spicy Patty Melts:
1 pound ground sirloin
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, several drops
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon steak seasoning blend (recommended: Montreal Steak Seasoning) or salt and pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 turn of the pan
16 slices mini rye bread
1/4 pound thinly sliced Swiss cheese

I'll let you know how it turns out. Probably just a few friends.

My parents arrive in just 4 days. Let the stress begin to pile up now. I am sure as soon as my parents get here they will complain non stop.

~Your apartment is small.
~You pay how much for this place?
~Why does it smell like dirty boys?
~You should tell management to fix that.

Quick Let's Get This Done

This pawning over straight boys is so unless. It maybe harmless to them but it tends to lead me on and its not healthy.

So here are the things in short form that happend the last three weeks:

I snuggled with one of them.
I nearly kissed one of them.
I've been so lonely without them around for a few days.
I've played with both of their hair.
Backrubs were given out and received.
I've managed to get one to settle down and chill out.
I've questioned one's sexualy fiercely but in the end decided he's straight.

Moving on....

Parents arrive in t-minus 5 days. Joy.

I Woke Up in a Bed

Yay! I'm back. I figured with all the people that are leaving the blogging world (Madlife, Jetboy, ItsRainingInLondon, and possibly itsMattsWorld) I need to come back and do some roomie dishing. Plus a lot of shit has gone down in the last 3 weeks.

The blog isn't going to be classy. I'm going to use commas wherever the hell I want to, because damnit I have to spell correctly, puncuate correctly, and do everything grammatically correct for the other paid blog. Which by the way is doing quite well. I won last month's contest. Each month the company puts out a contest to help keep us motivated to keep our numbers up. Well I won last months drawing. I won a portable DVD player. Should be in my hands before the Los Angles trip. Speaking of LA, did I mention that I got my heiss heiss roommate, Mike, to tag along. I "accidentally" requested a king suite and you know I will confirm that I have a king when we have our lay-over in Denver.

So yeah, a LOT of shit has gone on in the last 3 weeks. Lets start with Mike, he is the easier one to figure out.

Mike: Straight but flirty. And frankly very easy to tell apart most of the time. One moment he is talking about sex with past girls and then the next moment he tells me I can give him head but not to expect the same in return. Of course he was just playing around, but a gay boy with a crush on his roommate who is flirty could lead to a drunken Dane Cook night.

Very much adorable and sexy and funny in so many ways.

Oh yeah, I woke up in his bed today....

Unfortuntely, he is in Seattle and well I am not. He offered to let me sleep there since his bed is more comfortable than the current futton that I am sleeping on right now until my bed arrives next week. It's not entirely too weird is it? Its not like I am spugging on the bed because it smells like him or anything. Though yesterday I did get to play a bit with his hair and I kind of got a bit excited.

It's been soooooooooo long. I need something and if playing with a straight boy's hair lets me have my shits and giggles then so be it. Man I need a local bf.
