The roomies are out of town this weekend, so the apartment is completely mine. Ryan went home to visit his mum, and Mike is in southern Minnesota playing in a Lacrosse tournament. Good luck to him.

I'm kitty sitting this weekend. So Jack and I are just snuggling up together. It's the perfect weekend to do it. It's been cold (45F) rainy, windy, and just a miserable week and weekend so far. Perfect weather to just stay inside, snuggle with the kitty and just watch Love Actually 5 times in one day.

Before Mike left for southern MN, we explored the local Japanese dining place with Kelli. It was good, not exceptional but okay for the upper midwest. It's been so long since I had good calamari. I might be having some soon though. Mike is trying his hardest to get me to come out to Seattle for New Years. I'm thinking about it. We will see how things turn out. No committments just yet. Probably a last minute decision on my part. He has been trying to get me out to Seattle since I first met him. He has all these "friends" he wants to introduce me to. He is already starting to pimp me out and I have yet to arrive.

I've had a bad week. It didn't start that way though. It started off great actually. Got to talk to Scottie on the phone. Had a really good conversation, but as soon as that ended so did the great week.

All Australia plans are on hold as of now. In fact all travel has been suspended at this point. So it looks to be a Christmas back home now. I am sure the parents are happy about that. They didn't want to see me traveling for the holidays anyways.

The internet job may or may not be going under. It's a toss up.

A survey for Macquarie University, my old Australia uni, showed up today. I'd give anything to get back there. Best times of my life, hands down.

General Whining

Well Mike is awake and talking and that is a good sign. The boy had a lot of alcohol last night. I seriously dont know how he actually is alive right now. But he seems like he had a great time last night and was geninuely surprised about well his surprise birthday party. It was a good ol' time. I was the DD so I basically walked around like some 'cock' tail waitress with trays of jello shots. It was hot. Got a few cat calls and a lot of ass grabbing.

The party was a BLT party, bascially to get in the door you were required to wear your underwear only. I got Mike and Ryan wasted on jello shots. At one point they were both dancing on top of a table and on poles in the middle of the room in just their boxers. Some of the girls had the wise idea to de-pants them too, that was funny, though I didn't see it because I was elsewhere. Damn My Luck.

Had breakfast with the girls this morning because I drove them home from the bars last night and they invited me. Kash and his Latin Lover showed up too. That definitely wasn't in the plans. After Kash vented his anger at me on Saturday morning, paid no attention to me the last week and a half, (and yes I am an attention whore), and just was an all around asshole to me, even at the party, I didnt want to have anything to do with him. But being the person that I am, I take all things too personally and take everything to heart.

Yeah, I'm jealous, so what?

Oh and his boyfriend, not so cute.

It's 7.30am on a Saturday and I am up and moving around, that must mean that it's TailGating for Fighting Sioux Football! Yay all the more reason to get wasted at 9am.

Let you know how it all goes. Off to cook burgers in the rain and drink some beer and do jello shots.

No Such Rule Breaker

I lead a pretty simple life. I try not to worry about the crazy drama or other odds and ends that go on in the world. I try to keep things simple. That's why I have just a few rules I follow in life.

Rule 1: Treat others the way you want to be treated in return. I am a firm believer in Karma. I believe that what goes around comes around. It may not come back to haunt that person right away but I know that in the end they will get what is coming to them. So I try to be nice to people.

Rule 2: Never talk about politics or religion while drinking, it ALWAYS ends up being this huge fight and everyone feels awkward in the end. I am friends with a wide variety of people who believe a wide array of things and I have enough respect for them and their beliefs to be accomidating to them. So avoiding the subject when drinking solves a lot of problems.

Rule 3: Never take advantage of drunk people, including myself. I have this firm rule to not make any moves when I have been drinking or the other person has been drinking. Sometimes I slip up but for the most part I stick to it.

So that brings us to todays discussion...

Last night I was talking to Betsy and Mike. I asked Mike what he wanted for his birthday, and before he could get out a word, Betsy chimed in, he wants to cuddle with you.

Mike turned this beet red, and before he could sputter out any sort of English related sound or word, Betsy blurted out, look, he hasn't denied it and he is blushing!

Mike finally said, you had your chance on Sunday night, I was so drunk.

Fucking Rule #3!

Los Angeles Weekend

As much as I do not want to say it, I am back from my holiday in Los Angeles, California. It was a fantastic time.

Friday: Arrived in LA. Picked up the rental car. Drove for the first time in California. What an experience! The 101, 110North, I-5, the 405, the 1 were some of the highways we frequently used to navigate our way around the city. Got some In N Out burgers for din din at the LAX airport, while we watched the night flights coming in over our heads at only 500 feet off the ground.

Saturday: Spent the day with the bro. Went to a Dodgers game at night, and explored more of the city.

Sunday: Went to the beaches and explored them. So pretty. I don't know what is so attractive about the ocean but it just draws me into it. It just sends out wave after wave to entice me. It really is just so calming.

Monday: Got up at the ass crack of dawn at 3.10am to beat traffic to the airport. Now I am back in Grand Forks. (TEAR!) Next Trip though is right around the corner. Atlanta.
